“Mission Pérou - Eté 2010” (Peru Mission – Summer 2010)
Solida’rire is an association set up in 2008 that enables young people to take part in solidarity initiatives in France and the rest of the world.
Alexandre Conte, Catering Manager at the Novotel Grenoble Nord Voreppe, France, asked the Accor Foundation to support Solida’rire’s “Mission Pérou – Eté 2010” project. The objective is to send 7 young people for five weeks to rebuild a 100 square meter school canteen that will cater for around 200 school children in the poor village of Los Angeles in Peru. This canteen should improve the living and studying conditions of these children. The 7 young people also plan to organize events and awareness raising initiatives for the local population. They will be accompanied by Peruvian association Munay Pérou and by a qualified engineer. Our employee Alexandre Conte put Solida’rire in touch with the employees of the two Novotel hotels in Cusco and Lima, who are also taking part in the project.
This project is one of the Foundation’s “Humanitarian and Emergency” initiatives.
The Foundation’s donation: € 3,000 (“coup de pouce” scheme).
