Creating a tutoring program for young people on the street
 
Viorica Hossu, Accor Services social responsibility director, and Felicia Dinca, Human resources director, Novotel Bucharest have been involved with Fondation Parada since 2005. Set up in 1996 to ensure comprehensive and stable social integration of street children and teenagers facing exclusion based on a participatory approach, Parada carries out in-depth work supporting the young person throughout the coverage period without pursuing a social work approach. It offers various tools to young people to help them acquire concrete bases to develop their working life.
 
At the request of Romanian Accor employees, .Accor Foundation project’s objective is to create and finance a pilot training program for 200 young from Bucarest streets, aged 15 to 25 people 3 years.  24 are following the program the 1st year.  
 
Program developed by employees:
-          Organisation of work meetings and exchanges: enhancing their professional experience, team work, ethics, how to introduce oneself, etc.
-          Training sessions: CVs, interviews, etc.
-          Familiarisation with private companies for three days.
-          Search for external intervening parties.
 
Scholarships:
To take part in the program, the NGO selects 24 applicants from the 200 people in the street based on their motivation and behaviour. The first ten to find a job receive a ‘first-time hire scholarship’ of 120€.
