Focus on Urban Synergy
To support young people from immigrant backgrounds through sponsorship.
Ananda Allotey, Benefits specialist, Accor UK.
Urban Synergy aims to support young people from immigrant backgrounds (Africa and the West Indies) through sponsorship: individual and weekly support (one hour a week) focused on motivation, encouragement and ambition.
The Accor Foundation project’s objective is to develop the sponsorship program of Urban Synergy to support 1,000 young people from London’s outlying districts (Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark and Olympic areas).
For one year, young people are sponsored by a professional and attend a program focused on four directions: sharing experience with the sponsor; organised trips (trips to companies, police stations…), seminars putting young people in contact with professionals from various fields (media, legal…) and integrating young people in companies.
Ananda Allotey, Benefits specialist Accor UK, is a young’s Mentor.
