Humanitarian and emergency
Focus on Les 3 Lézards
Publication of a tale to support a humanitarian initiative: Kinnaly, “A heartwarming tale to dry the monsoon on the leaves”.
Philippe Van der Borght, Financial Director Sofitel Monde, Evry.
Les 3 Lézards is a French association whose goal is to promote written and oral expression in France while also supporting humanitarian initiatives. It organizes presentations and events and produces photographic, audiovisual and literary works aimed at enhancing personal development through reading and oral and written expression.
Philippe Van der Borght, has been a volunteer with the organization since 2004.
The Accor Foundation financed 500 copies of Kinnaly, an illustrated story about solidarity written by Margot Vanbert. It is a story about a young child from Laos adopted by a French couple, and she wrote it after a trip to that country. It is her third story about solidarity.
The booklet will be sold by the association’s network, which has experience in organizing charity sales. The profits generated by sale of the booklet will be used to purchase a kiln for a traditional clinic in Sayabouri (in Northern Laos) to dry local plants and manufacture medicinal products using traditional techniques.
