Association

EnVol is a French association created to encourage the learning or relearning of basic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic.

Its actions are aimed not only at people whose native tongue is French, whether or not they went to school, but also those speaking foreign languages.

Project

In 2010-2011, the Fondation Accor supported the association EnVol in its programme to train 34 illiterate young people living in rural areas (look at the project). This programme taught them useful key skills to pass the written driving test or obtain a driving or moped license in order to foster their mobility and their social and professional integration.

Out of the 34 beneficiaries:

  • 10 passed their written driving test,
  • 3 obtained their driving license,
  • 1 obtained a moped license,
  • 2 found a job,
  • 1 was accepted into a qualifying training programme.

In light of these results, the association is broadening its training programme by equipping and modernising a learning area to welcome these illiterate young people. Thanks to the support of the Accor Foundation (procurement of furniture, equipment, computers), EnVol is creating a genuine learning space, equipped with modern and efficient tools, to better welcome its learners (approximately 500 people per year) and provide them with advanced, individual and comprehensive support.
