Association
The Association pour le Droit à l’Initiative Economique (Adie) created in 1989 has a triple mission:
- finance projects from young entrepreneurs with no access to banking credit: the unemployed, those receiving a minimum government allowance, and the “in-work poor”;
- support these entrepreneurs in the concretisation of their project, helping them to progressively become clients of the banking system;
- use this real-scale experience as a “social laboratory” to improve the institutional environment of micro-credit and micro-entreprises.
Adie well-respected is a national association with 190 offices throughout France, one of them in Toulouse.
Project

Adie has set up the “Créajeunes” programme to meet the strong demands of young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, helping them make up for their lack of experience and capital.
These youngsters follow a 4-month programme focusing on 3 pillars:
- collective training: allowing them for 6 weeks to attend classes that will help them set up their company (personal development, business modules and workshops, modules and workshops on the legal and tax conditions, modules on the search for funding, financial and accounting modules and workshops, etc.);
- individual support: carried out at the same time as the training, taught by a voluntary tutor who helps the young person prepare training courses specific for the project (at least 2h per week over 8 weeks to 4 months);
- networking actions: allowing the development of the start-up.
In 2011, Adie aided 76 young people to create a start-up. The Accor Foundation supports the training of 20 among them.
