Focus on L’EnVol
Highway Code training for youths, to curb illiteracy.
Aldric Manta, General Manager all seasons Segré.
EnVol is a French association created to encourage the learning or relearning of basic skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic.
Given the mobility issues that come with professional insertion, the association seeks to train applicants, who cannot read, in the basic skills that will help them pass the Highway Code or obtain the road safety certificate.
Training focuses on 2 areas:
- the basic skills needed to pass the Highway code (determining right and left, concept of time and space…)
- the Highway code (based on concrete situations: parking a car, roundabouts…).
The Accor Foundation’s support will allow 30 youths from rural areas to learn the Highway Code. The association trains them by providing personalized support in coordination with social assistance bodies, so that social issues can be managed at the same time and the social and professional insertion of these young people can be prepared. The Highway Code is a device that can be used to approach illiterate people and serves as a very good incentive to learning.
