On April 28 the association "Sport dans la Ville" supported by the Accor Foundation, received a visit from Gilles Pélisson, Chairman and CEO of Accor and sponsor of the 2009 "Job in the City" programme.
This 3rd graduating class of the "Job in the City" job insertion programme comprises 120 young people age 14-18, from at-risk neighbourhoods in Lyon. The programme is intended to provide collective and individual support towards achieving qualification and permanent employment.
At the end of Gilles Pélisson's talk, the youth people were able to engage in discussion with him, particularly concerning the reasons for his personal involvment in the programme and the sponsorship of the Accor Group since 2006.
The meeting finally ended with a football tournament in which the young people took part
